About the Author

Hi, I'm Asten.

I'm a writer (obviously) from the UK. I'm autistic and Amber and Jonas was originally inspired by one of my long term special interests. But it has grown into something so much bigger. 

I'm passionate about making autistic people feel seen and heard. I've been through a lot and I don't want others to experience similar things. So I became an NHS Expert by Experience to advocate for autistic people.

When I'm not doing that, or writing, I can be found volunteering at a local theatre, planning my wedding (as I'm engaged to the best man in the world), or listening to music. But mainly listening to music. All. The. Time. Even while writing.
